Working in partnership with
Writtle University College
Essex Agricultural Society is pleased to have a long-standing agreement with Writtle University College for the use of its facilities. We have a shared interest in educating and supporting those working in agriculture, so the partnership brings clear mutual benefits.
The College provides an office for EAS administrators, including a telephone line and fully supported IT network. There is also a large committee room available for monthly meetings.
Once a year, the Society holds the Essex Schools Food and Farming Day at the College. It is arranged around the academic calendar, to allow for extensive use of the grounds and support from the College.
The agreement carries an annual fee, which should represent good value to both parties.
The Society will also on occasion hire the Northumberland Theatre, which comes with a social area, video screens and plenty of tiered seating. Smaller events are held at various other locations.
We are grateful to the College, its leaders and staff for being so supportive of its activities and hopes this partnership will flourish for years to come.
Set up in 1858 The Essex Agricultural Society is steeped in history.
